West Broadway Neighborhood Association is excited to announce the sale of our property at 1326 Westminster Street to Community MusicWorks, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that has served children in our neighborhood for more than 20 years.

CMW's commitment to the west side runs deep. From its beginnings, the nonprofit has operated on Westminster Street, holding some of its first music lessons and board meetings at WBNA headquarters before moving to its current home at 1390 Westminster, a building that WBNA had previously renovated as affordable housing.

CMW's collaborative relationship with WBNA has continued through the years, as CMW musicians have performed at past Annual Meetings and at other WBNA and neighborhood pop-up events. The organization's known track record of valuing people and place is aligned with WBNA's goals for the property, and gives WBNA confidence that CMW will steward future development at 1326 Westminster with community in mind.

WBNA purchased 1326 Westminster Street with the intention that it would be redeveloped as a site that contributes to the neighborhood and that takes full advantage of the place-making potential of this corner property and gateway to our iconic park and Armory. Today, with environmental remediation of the site complete and CMW as its new owner, this special location is poised for a promising future.

CMW is currently in process of doing pre-development work for the property which can take several years to complete. WBNA will remain involved in the site's future plans and, as a condition of sale, will review CMW's conceptual design of the proposed structure and landscaping at its Community Development Committee (CDC) when plans become available.
