Purchased in 2002 by West Broadway Neighborhood Association, 1192 Westminster Street is a gateway property that was transformed into affordable housing and nonprofit office space with one-of-a-kind interiors created by local artists and designers.
In late 2022, local artist and avid gardener Susan Freda, approached WBNA with an idea to create a publicly accessible medicinal garden planted in the shape of a woman.
The WBNA is in the process of converting the under-utilized garage at our 1192 Westminster Street property into an affordable, accessibly designed apartment.
Every 10 years the City of Providence updates its Comprehensive Plan. This document guides development throughout the city and dictates.
In 2021, WBNA installed four historic marker panels in Dexter Training Ground and Luongo Square highlighting some of the rich and complex history of our neighborhood.
